“ Beep, beep, honk, honk “  the cars seem to say. I’m travelling at a snails pace with all this traffic.   I’ve had enough I can’t handle this anymore !!! Considering that I had to be at Gap’s Park for my daughters party and I had to be on time, but I’m late by 55 minutes, I knew my family would be as furious as a bull seeing a red flag! I quickly sprinted towards Gap Park, while reaching for my phone. It had been vibrating nonstop. I took a breath due to my exhaustion. It was an anonymous  text  which read, “ Look who’s late!!  X marks the spot. Try and find me!”

X MARKS THE SPOT!!

It all started a long time ago when everything was peaceful in the galaxy, until a small brave Dool went to the planet Yolup and stole the ancient rock of Puloy. The small Dool was trying to prove he was brave enough to join the army. He took the ancient rock to the general to scan. The general was shocked, but soon noticed that this would start a conflict. So they rushed to the closest planet  and dropped the rock to the surface. They fled, leaving an X to mark where the rock was placed on the planet. The Yolup’s saw the sign and claimed “X marks the spot!” and blew it to pieces.

X was my favourite letter, anything that had the crossed lines on it, in my mind was marked for me. X marked the spot for me. I loved many things, as long as it had a X mark. It happened one day that I was wondering round the park I spotted a large X shaped coarse dirt patch, intrigued by the X, I wondered tentatively closer to the X. Looking at it I realized that I seemed to be the only one looking, thinking I was hallucinating, I rubbed my eyes. Opening them again gave me the feeling of us humans were not alone!

My Ultimate Adventure

The floorboards were saturated with frosty saline water which acted like a canopy over the sleek surface. The great sail tore through the air as the gale-force wind whipped around the boat like a cyclone. It swayed vigorously from left to right and the rough waves urged to envelope the ship. I climbed out of my cabin and walked outside into the dark, gloomy wet abyss. This fishing adventure had just turned into a catastrophe. 

“ Dad come out here!” I cried at the top of my lungs.

I stretched out my hand from the boat and scraped it against a hard substance. Rock! I used my fishing hooks and line to pull us in. This was my Ultimate Adventure.

“It was only an accident, I didn’t know it was the wrong one, it looked so similar, if only I did three step success to vascular surgery and we weren’t next to the worst pet hospital ever!” with anger the Surgeon pounced around the room “Is it true?, Did she really turn into a sheep”?. The patient starting growing fur, walking on all fours, and started saying bah. Starting to get worried the surgeon had a bounce of relief “Wow!, I just completed the worlds first transfiguration surgery, Oh yeh!” (siren is heard in the back).”What that?” said the Surgeon. “Hands up, this is the FBI” .“Oooohh man I can’t believe I…….”Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And the Surgeon had got tasered and arrested for genetic surgery, his ultimate adventure just got fired up.

… My Ultimate Adventure…

   I'd always wanted a superpower,  but never in a million years thought it would be this. I grabbed one of my dummies from when I was practising karate, and I shouted, “Evanesco!”. My dummy suddenly disappeared from the room. I decided to go on an adventure and fight colossal villains. I then whispered to myself, “This will be my ultimate adventure.” I run out of my room through the door, jump onto my horse and ride it into the woods. I see a house in the shadows suddenly an army attacks it. I shout, “Evanesco!” aiming for all the soldiers. I miss the chief who is stupefied and retreats straight away.

This week the prompt is:

         … My Ultimate Adventure…

As I opened the door ,the light illuminated my cave ,shouting out to me that it was the day! The day I’ve been waiting for my entire life. 

I had just turned 201 and I remember my father promised me 150 years ago that when I turn 201 I could fly out to the village for my ultimate adventure and see my very first human! I took off before breakfast and flew straight towards the village, but the sun was still not up so I waited circling the village. Becoming dreary I settled down in an alleyway as someone abruptly jumped onto my back shouting “Fly Dragon, Fly!”.
